Fresh is Better.

Why is Cha Dao fresh?

Cha Dao is the first fresh bottled tea in America. Fresh means:

  • We do not use concentrates
  • Our teas are chilled from when we brew it to when you get it at the store
  • We date our teas for a few short weeks, not years like others

Other brands brew their tea into a concentrate, ship it to a bottler who then dilutes and reheats it before bottling. Remember the stale taste of coffee that has been sitting in the plate warmer for too long? That's how other bottled teas taste like.

Taste a bottle of our teas side by side with another brand - and you'll taste the difference.

    Why is fresh better?

Fresh tea is the True Taste of Tea(TM) - it just tastes better. Fresh tea is also higher in antioxidants. Cha Dao Teas have been verified by Covance Laboratories to have the highest amount of antioxidants among our competitors.

Cha Dao green and Oolong teas are rich in catechin polyphenols, particularly epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), a powerful anti-oxidant that scrubs the body clean of harmful free-radicals. As a comparison, EGCG is twice as powerful as resveratrol (the polyphenol found in red wine). Of course, we think the best news is that you don't have to be able to pronounce "epigallocatechin gallate" to enjoy its benefits.

By using only the best leaves and our fresh brewing process, Cha Dao packs more of these EGCGs into every bottle...a lot more! Not only are you getting "The True Taste of Tea™" but also the anti-oxidant Cha Dao "wow!" that's both healthy and delicious.

Meet the CEO & Founder - Ghim-Sim Chua

When he was growing up in Singapore, our founder Ghim (it's like Jim but with a "G") was taught by his mum (they speak British there) that drinking tea was healthier than soda. Of course, most of us here in the US grew up thinking tea was that stale, bitter stuff that came in bleached little baggies. Healthier perhaps but hardly drinkable. When bottled teas arrived on the market, most just tasted stale and still used the same low-quality tea, making it necessary to mask the flavor with lots of sugar and other additives ... bleh!

So back to Ghim's mum, she developed Ghim's taste in exotic, refined teas like the night flowering Jasmine, Chrysanthemum, the elegant Oolong and Japanese Sencha. After coming to America, Ghim carried those tastes with him, along with a dream to brew quality bottled teas untainted by artificial flavors and additives.

So get the freshest bottled tea with the most tea in it, Cha Dao Teas, now available in Jasmine Green Tea with Lemon, Sencha, Oolong and Chrysanthemum.
